With the already stellar line-up of Solitary, King Leviathan, Krysthla, and Splintered Halo in place, the hits for Hordes Of Belial – Nine Lives, just keep coming. We’ve just added another three acts to the list, and we think you’re going to like them.
This is a Glasgow heavy announcement, which is unusual for Hordes, kicking off with some proper old school doom metal, courtesy of Watcher’s Guard. Currently working their way through a hotlist of relevant support slots with the likes of Solstice, The Obsessed, and Witchsorrow, this looks set to be an exciting year for them.
“Creates a crushing, almost oppressive atmosphere…”
The Metal Archives
The second act announced today is something a little different. Those sharp-eyed metal veterans among you may have noticed that Watcher’s Guard frontman somewhere else before. Perhaps cutting about in a more pseudo-historical guise, as the only son of the big guy upstairs. Yup, it’s Jebus. Gordy Jebus, of Bloodstock/Mayhem Underground TV infamy. While sightings prove he’s not everyone’s cup of sacramental wine, we’re giving him a turn at the pulpit, to preach his updated, and slightly more comedic take on existence.
The saviour may not be so impressed with the moniker of the third act we’ve added, Godeater. Unless, of course, he isn’t bothered by the thought of his father being gobbled by some of Scotland’s finest purveyors of technical death metal. Keep a close eye on this band, because if they keep up their current quality of work, they will definitely make an impact!
“There’s more talent and skill in these three tracks than most entire albums”
