Organisation for the first year of Hordes X has just been taken up to the next level, with more bands added, and a major new wing to the proceedings!
As we know at Slow Dragon Music, when bands come to Scotland from other regions to make lovely noises for us, it is usually a major benefit to them to be able to play another couple of shows. This can help them break-up the journey, put more money in the pot, and generally make it more worth their while.
This time around, however, rather leave this to the fates of the underground, we’ve decided to get proactive. We’ve worked with a handful of bands and promoters to create what we’re calling the Hordes X Outreach Programme. The aim here is to use the Hordes banner to level up the public awareness of all the shows, via collaborative efforts.
Each of the three shows will feature one of the Hordes X headliners, alongside one other band per gig also playing the main event. Other local supports are appearing at individual organisers’ discretion.
The first of these supplementary events is a bit of a monster. Over in Glasgow, Goddamned Promotions have agreed to help us set up one hell of a shindig to start the weekend. Hordes X headliners, Krysthla, will be riding out west to top a bill featuring Dominicide – who also play the main show in Dundee on the Saturday – as well as Centrilia and Burning The Dream!
On the Sunday, the day after Hordes X, we have two shows at either end of Scotland. Up North, Krysthla take on a third headlining date at The Market Bar in Inverness. Sole support will come from our Hordes X openers, Darkness Divine.
Meanwhile, also on the Sunday, down in Dunfermline, Noise Night are taking on a date with our stage two headliners, Bloodyard. The event will feature support from Melted Messiah – who open stage two at Hordes X – and Nadé.
This leaves us with just five more bands to announce for the final Hordes X line-up in Dundee, but we think you’ll agree it’s a bit of a monster already! Get your tickets from this official link!
