CHANGE OF DATE NOTICE
METAL 2 THE MASSES SCOTLAND GRAND FINAL
It will come as no surprise to most, that the Scottish Metal 2 The Masses Grand Final cannot take place on April 11th as planned. This update is merely confirmation of what was obviously going to be the case. The escalating restrictions (*update:3 week lockdown), and common sense, about the health concerns of large gatherings in the current coronavirus crisis mean we had to pull the plug. Our “must have” venue for this event, La Belle Angele, has also closed doors for the time being.
La Belle Angele’s statement via Facebook 18/03/2020: We’re so sad to have to make this statement: We have been closely monitoring the rapidly developing situation concerning the Corona virus outbreak, assessing and considering sometimes conflicting and contradictory advice issued. While that advice currently does not require or even request pubs and clubs to close, we have been put in an almost impossible position. Considering all this we have made the incredibly hard decision to close La Belle for the time being. It feels that it has become our responsibility to ensure the well being of our staff and our customers. This is an unprecedented situation and we will keep you updated with details when we have them. Stay safe everyone and we will see you again soon on the dance floor….. 🤘
Behind the scenes, however, we have also been discussing our options, and decided to keep an eye on whatever positive solutions can be presented. We now have a replacement date of July 11th. This is planned to be a copy/paste template of the original event, with all tickets already purchased remaining valid. If, however, you cannot make the new date, or simply feel unsafe committing to it until further information becomes available, you can, of course, get a refund from Tickets Scotland at any time before the date of the show.
This decision attempts to strike a balance between caring for the artists and industry workers who have put so much effort in, and the greater health concerns of people everywhere. As such, there is still, indeed, the possibility of cancellation at this stage. Until more is known, this is our best plan of action, but we will be keeping a close eye on developments.
If you need to ask any questions, please feel free to email them to email@example.com, and I’ll do my best to answer them.
Thank you for your superb support so far! Stay loud, and above all else, stay safe!
Love and metal,
