Slaughterpit: Last two bands and February competition

The final bands for Slaughterpit 2017 can now be revealed. Threshold Sicks and Slow Walkers will be opening the first and second stages respectively, setting the event off fantastically right from the get-go. This completes the seven band bill, but there have been murmurs that sufficient advance ticket sales could lead to more bands being added to the bill.

Insane extreme noise duo Slow Walkers may be Glasgow based, but guitarist/vocalist Matthew Blanchett is no stranger to the local scene, having half destroyed himself at many Tayside events in Stereofelatio. Perth-ish based Threshold Sicks have been off the circuit for a good few years, but bring back their angular death-thrash-sludge with a 50% new line-up, now featuring ex-members of Nerrus Kor and Scud/Aorta.

Slow Dragon Music has also launched a competition this weekend, due to run for the rest of February, giving away a pair of tickets for Slaughterpit 2017. In order to enter, all you have to do is post your best dragon pics to the SDM page on Facebook. On March 1st, we will announce our favourite, and the winner who posted it.
